Diver License Plate
The OCSSDI is currently investigating offering a special Ohio license
plate for divers. A mockup of what the plate might eventually look
like is included to the left. Shortly a Council representative will be
putting together petitions to distribute to clubs, dive shops, and
interested people to see if there is enough interest. For further info or
suggestions, please contact
ohioplates@ocssdi.org . The committee could use representatives from all
parts of the state to get petitions signed. To be kept informed of
information on this project, please sign up for the mailing list below.
When the petition is available, signing it will commit you to purchase a
plate when and if they become available. You may sign the petition multiple
times for each eligible vehicle that can and will license. The
Organizational plate cost has been determined to be a $20 premium over the
normal cost of Ohio plates, with a portion of the premium benefiting the
OCSSDI. The plate would likely not be available until late 2003 or
2004 and will require a minimum of 1000 plates committed to on the
petitions for the state to approve making them.
We are currently about half way to getting enough verified
signatures.
